Hodgkin-Huxley Equations

The Hodgkin-Huxley equations simulate the action potential in a squid giant axon. These files contain the solution to a non-propagating equation, i.e. where the inside of the axon has been made equipotential by inserting a conductive wire down the center. This means that there is no axial current flow, so simplifying the equations.

The solutions are implemented in Excel. Hodgkin & Huxley's originally used a original baseline in which the inside of the axon was taken as zero. In these simulations the convention is the normal one, namely that the baseline is zero potential outside.
